The technology of this test permits the diagnosis of combined infection and inflammation diseases of the genital tract of men, even if the clinical picture of the patient appears with mild symptoms or even asymptomatic.
This test employs the Multiple Real-Time PCR method to detect bacterial DNA through DNA hybridisation with DNA probes. Specifically, it identifies the total bacterial DNA and DNA from pathogenic microbes and interacting microbes of the normal flora of the urogenital tract, in order to be used to implement a personalised treatment for each patient. The normal flora is of a particular importance for the diagnostic approach to infections, since it can be the source of the microorganisms that cause the infection or competing with an exogenous infectious cause.
Androflor® is designed to detect the total bacterial DNA (total bacterial mass), DNA of the opportunistic and true pathogens in men’s urogenital tract by multiplex Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method.
Androflor® REAL-TIME PCR is used for the study of men’s urogenital tract microbial flora, results obtained can be used for the diagnosis of male urogenital tract inflammatory diseases.
